I.AI Consulting & Training

The use of U.S.-based Palantir software by German police is facing growing criticism – mainly due to concerns over data protection, lack of transparency, and legal risks. While some federal states support Palantir, others are calling for independent, European-made solutions. Legal experts warn of potential violations of fundamental rights and stress that such systems must be state-controlled to ensure digital sovereignty and democratic oversight.

German providers like Bardioc, One Data, NasA, and Yoonite offer AI-powered alternatives that are scalable, secure, and legally compliant. However, the lack of political commitment is slowing down investment and adoption. France and Switzerland are also pursuing national solutions, while EU-funded projects are exploring long-term alternatives.
