Google is experimenting with a new Gemini-powered chat feature in Google Maps. It would allow users to suggest changes to business listings using natural language instead of filling out rigid forms. The prototype would let people describe updates conversationally, with Gemini interpreting their suggestions.
Before any changes go live, they would still go through Google’s review process. The feature builds on earlier AI integrations, such as hands-free, voice-based support for walking and cycling navigation. It hasn’t been officially announced or launched yet, but it is currently in development.
