I.AI Consulting & Training

The new Jeremy Coller Centre for Animal Sentience at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) will study animal consciousness and explore how AI can help humans better understand their pets. With a £4 million budget, the interdisciplinary centre will examine a wide range of animal species and promote the ethical use of AI – especially to prevent pet owners from being misled by inaccurate “translations” generated by artificial intelligence.

The centre aims to develop global ethical guidelines and investigate how AI affects animals in areas like farming and autonomous vehicles. It also seeks to bridge the gap between how people feel about animals and how they actually treat them – using AI to gain deeper insights into animal communication and well-being.
