According to a survey by the Swiss National Bank, most Swiss companies have not yet experienced significant job losses due to artificial intelligence. Only about one in five firms reported a reduced demand for staff as a result of AI adoption, mainly in consulting, software development, HR, accounting, legal services, translation, and marketing.
Overall, companies see AI as a driver of efficiency and expect personnel changes in the coming years rather than immediate layoffs. The SNB’s findings suggest a slow, gradual impact on the labor market, as many firms continue investing in AI projects while maintaining an optimistic outlook for employment.
