One of China’s first robot stores, called “Robot Mall,” has opened in Beijing. Over 100 different robots are available for sale – from household helpers to life-like replicas of famous figures like Albert Einstein. The store resembles a car dealership, offering sales, spare parts, and maintenance services. Prices range from around 2,000 yuan (about €240) up to several million yuan.

The mall opened alongside the World Robot Conference, highlighting China’s strong commitment to AI and robotics. Right next door is a themed restaurant staffed by robot waiters and robot chefs. With billions invested in robotics innovation, China aims to tackle technological challenges and demographic shifts head-on.
