I.AI Consulting & Training

Denmark is planning to change its copyright law to give people the legal right to their own voice, face, and body. This move comes in response to the growing spread of deepfakes. The proposed law, which would be the first of its kind in Europe, aims to prevent AI-generated imitations from being shared without consent. Affected individuals would have the right to request the removal of such content and could receive compensation for violations.

Satire and parody will still be allowed. Culture Minister Jakob Engel-Schmidt hopes other European countries will follow Denmark’s lead and plans to promote the issue during Denmark’s upcoming EU presidency. Platforms that fail to comply could face heavy fines.
