A recent survey highlights a significant gap between the growing importance of artificial intelligence in the workplace and employees’ actual level of preparedness. In Germany, only about one in five workers feels adequately equipped to work with AI. At the same time, expectations from both companies and regulators continue to rise. Many organizations still lack clear strategies for AI training and skills development, leaving employees without the capabilities needed to use the technology effectively.
Experts also stress that training alone is not enough. Companies need to integrate AI into everyday workflows and build employee confidence in using it. The findings suggest that businesses risk falling behind if they fail to invest in practical AI skills and the ongoing development of their workforce.
