I.AI Consulting & Training

The European Commission has instructed Google to comply with the data sharing requirements of the Digital Markets Act (DMA). Specifically, third-party AI services and search engines are to be granted “equivalent” access to the data that Google’s own products, such as Gemini and Search, use. This includes interoperability with Android and broader access to key data points.

This move is part of efforts to strengthen competition in AI and digital services across the EU. Google emphasizes that it already licenses some data, but warns that even broader access could pose privacy and security risks.
