Munich-based robotics startup Microagi has completed Germany’s largest-ever seed funding round, raising €48 million. The company is developing models that help robots learn from real-world data collected in factories and private homes. Its goal is to make robots more reliable and useful in everyday environments. Microagi’s Atlas platform collects data from robots in operation to optimize their processes and train task-specific AI systems.
Through partnerships with companies such as Google Cloud and Nvidia, the startup gains access to state-of-the-art computing infrastructure for developing so-called Physical AI. The investment highlights the growing global competition in robotics and Europe’s ambition to strengthen its position in next-generation industrial automation.
