Germany and India have agreed on a new “AI Pact” to deepen technological and economic cooperation, signed by Germany’s Digital Minister Karsten Wildberger and India’s IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. The pact aims to turn long-standing dialogue into practical results by combining India’s vast software talent with German industry, especially SMEs, across sectors like mobility, energy, healthcare, and smart production.
It also stresses ethical standards, aligning on trustworthy, democratic AI governance, and plans dedicated contact points to boost startup links and talent mobility, with pilot projects slated for 2026–2027.
