A contract has been signed in Stuttgart for the construction of the AI supercomputer “HammerHAI.” The project is a key initiative within Europe’s AI Factories program and will be operated by the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart. It is designed to support startups, companies, and researchers with powerful AI computing resources, as well as training and consulting.
The supercomputer is built for large-scale machine learning and data processing. It aims to strengthen Europe’s technological sovereignty by offering a secure, EU-based alternative to commercial cloud providers. Completion is planned for mid-2026, with operations expected to begin later that same year.
