Just four weeks after Argon, Google is replacing its flagship model with Gemini 4 Carbon. The new model is expected to deliver significant improvements in coding, autonomous tasks, and cybersecurity. According to Google, Carbon performs better in security tests, identifies software vulnerabilities more reliably, and can develop exploits.
The model is also said to be less vulnerable to prompt injection attacks and less likely to make unsupported claims. Initially, access will be limited to selected cybersecurity experts and trusted partners through the Fairwind program. A wider release is planned for later, but no specific date has been announced. The launch price matches Argon’s. Independent performance verification is still pending.
