Google has launched its Connected Apps Platform, allowing businesses and developers to integrate their apps into Google Search and Gemini. This gives users direct access to third-party services without having to open the individual apps. Developers can submit their applications, decide where they appear and monitor their performance.
The platform supports integrations through cloud-based MCP servers and Android APIs. More than 50 connected apps are already available in Gemini, including Adobe, Peloton and Experian. The new platform is currently in beta for US developers, with wider availability planned for the coming months.
