Greece has unveiled Daedalus, its most powerful supercomputer to date, as the country seeks to strengthen its position in Europe’s AI race. The system, costing around €59 million, delivers computing performance of 85.69 petaflops and supports advanced AI development, scientific research, and large-scale data analysis.

Daedalus uses NVIDIA technology and liquid cooling to ensure energy-efficient operation. It is available to universities, start-ups, businesses, and public institutions, including those working on projects involving sensitive data. Connected to Greece’s Pharos AI Factory, the supercomputer aims to accelerate innovation, improve access to computing resources, and strengthen Europe’s technological sovereignty.
