Proton has unveiled Lumo 2.0, a significantly enhanced version of its privacy-focused AI assistant. New features include reasoning modes, image generation and recognition, web search with source citations, persistent memory, customizable assistants, and multimodal capabilities.
According to Proton, the new version responds up to 76% faster and allows users to switch between high-speed responses and more advanced reasoning. At the same time, Lumo continues to offer zero-access encryption, no server-side logging, and a commitment not to use customer data to train its AI models. Lumo is available in Free, Plus, and Professional plans for both individual users and businesses.
