Anthropic has introduced „Claude Tag“, a new AI agent for Slack that transforms Claude from a personal chatbot into a digital teammate. By using the @Claude command, users can bring the AI into group conversations to answer questions, complete tasks, summarize discussions, and surface relevant information.

Unlike conventional AI agents, Claude Tag maintains context across multiple conversations and can proactively monitor channels for updates. Administrators retain control over permissions, data access, and spending limits. Initially available as a research preview for Claude Enterprise and Team customers, the new feature reflects Anthropic’s strategy of bringing secure, well-governed AI into everyday workplace collaboration.
