OpenAI has introduced new governance frameworks designed to help companies use AI safely, responsibly, and in compliance with current regulations. The Frontier Governance Framework provides a structured approach to risk assessment, safety measures, oversight, and regulatory compliance. This comes as AI is increasingly moving from pilot projects into mission-critical business operations.

The framework links internal safety standards with requirements from the EU AI Act and California’s AI transparency law, known as TFAIA. It aims to give organizations a practical guide for working with powerful AI systems. OpenAI emphasizes that strong governance is essential to scale enterprise AI responsibly, reduce risks, maintain accountability, and build trust in AI applications.
