Parloa, a Berlin-based AI company now valued at €1 billion, develops voice-based AI agents for customer service. These agents are already used by major companies like Ikea, Booking.com, and ATU. At Parloa’s own trade fair, „Wave,“ clients showcased how the AI handles tasks like answering questions and booking appointments – especially during seasonal peaks. At ATU, the AI now manages 60% of calls, increasing efficiency without replacing any jobs.
While the technology is built on Microsoft Azure and OpenAI models, all development takes place in Berlin. In addition to existing offices in Munich and New York, Parloa is planning a new branch in London. The company also plans to expand the use of its AI agents into other areas like sales and marketing.
