Runway, known for its AI tools in the film industry, is now entering the gaming world with its new platform Game Worlds. The tool lets users create interactive, text-based games using AI-generated text and images. Although still in its early stages, CEO Cristóbal Valenzuela expects to see the first fully AI-generated games by the end of the year.
By partnering with game developers, Runway hopes to gain access to valuable game data to further improve its tools. Despite ethical concerns – such as using real voices or likenesses without consent – Runway sees a strong opportunity to bring its film success into gaming.
