Apple has asked a judge to dismiss Elon Musk’s lawsuit, in which he demands that Apple partner with his AI company, xAI. Musk claims that Apple favors OpenAI’s ChatGPT in the App Store’s AI rankings and accuses Apple of antitrust violations. Apple denies any wrongdoing, pointing out that it uses ChatGPT only as a fallback for Siri and that other AI apps continue to gain traction.
Apple’s lawyers argue that Musk’s claim – that Apple must partner with every AI chatbot maker regardless of quality and safety – is unfounded. A court ruling is still pending.
