Actors license their voices for AI
Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine are partnering with AI company ElevenLabs to license their voices for AI applications. McConaughey’s voice will be artificially generated to read the Spanish version of his newsletter Lyrics of Livin’, even though he doesn’t speak Spanish himself.
AI-generated voices almost indistinguishable from real ones
Recent research shows that AI-generated voices – especially those cloned from real people – are now almost impossible to tell apart from real human voices. In one study, participants often couldn’t tell whether they were hearing a real person or an artificial voice.
