Mistral receives French military contract
The French Ministry of Defence has signed a comprehensive framework agreement with domestic AI company Mistral AI. The agreement aims to deploy advanced AI models, software and services in the military, research institutions and other public authorities.

The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded AI contracts worth up to $800 million to four major tech companies: Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Elon Musk’s xAI. Each company can receive up to $200 million in project funding.
