AI tools like ChatGPT are becoming increasingly popular in Switzerland – by now, a majority of the population uses them at least occasionally. According to the Digimonitor study by IGEM and WEMF, 60% of people currently use such tools, up from 40% just a year ago. This marks the first time that AI has truly gone mainstream across the general population.
The survey, which included internet users aged 15 to 75, reveals clear differences: 79% of 15- to 34-year-olds use AI, compared to only 40% of those over 55. There are also gender differences – men use AI significantly more often than women.
