AI browser Comet now free worldwide

Perplexity has announced that its AI-powered browser, Comet, is now available for free to all users. Until now, it was only accessible to those on the $200-per-month Max plan. Comet includes a built-in assistant that can summarize web pages, handle emails, and take care of tasks like online shopping or travel planning.

With this move, Perplexity aims to challenge established browsers like Google Chrome and bring artificial intelligence more deeply into everyday browsing. The company also announced a mobile version of Comet and a new feature called the „Background Assistant,“ which can manage multiple tasks at once, asynchronously.
