Claude Cowork expands to web and smartphones

Anthropic is expanding Claude Cowork beyond the desktop app, bringing the AI agent to the web and smartphones. The beta version is initially available to Claude Max subscribers, allowing users to start, monitor, and manage long-running AI tasks across multiple devices. Cowork sessions now continue in the cloud by default, even when the computer is offline or turned off.

For desktop users who need access to local files, direct processing remains available. Anthropic has also extended the increased usage limits until early August. The company announced that broader access for additional subscription plans will follow in the coming weeks.
